CLIFFORD ALARM - important help please!

right all these people on here hopefully someone may have experience with these. if an additional relay has been fitted for a turbo timer would that be a plug in relay inside the alarm unit itself or an externally mounted one?

here's the story.....

right... the alarm has a built in turbo timer. for some reason when it was done they made it so the turbo timer puts the side lights on.

the other day i put my stereo in as it had none. all works fine off i go drivin. go to put my lights on as it starts gettin a bit dark and i get a power cut. stereo too. stereo comes back on tho. but no dash lights...

so i get out to look at the outside, i have no side lights and no rear lights.. i still have dipped beam but again with no rears.. or rear fog.

so i come home and start inspecting... everything i can see is fine. all fuses/connections etc. (and i am an electrician so i know what i'm lookin for)

now ... if i activate the turbo timer the side lights come on! rears too etc! but after a short while a 20amp fuse blows comin from or too the alarm (there are 3 fuses from/to it) the turbo timer no longer works, nor do the sides still and nor do the indicators flash when u lock the car. otherwise all else is ok.

so i replace the fuse. still no sides or rears. i pull the stereo out. run the turbo timer again, lights come back on and all stays fine. now if i plug the stereo back in all stays fine... the second i plug the ariel in POP the fuse goes!???

but ... even with the stereo totally disconnected and that fuse staying intact i still have no sides or rears! but reading the manual the alarm has to have an extra relay fitted for a turbo timer. this obviously some how seems to also feed the lights (after the stalk/switch) and the indicator flashing from this 20 amp fuse!??
wtf.gif
?

soooo.... i know the stereo is fine as it was in my old car.. so is it..? the alarm? the extra relay part? or the indicator stalk as if the turbo timer light part has to T in after the stalk electricity will still go both ways power the lights but then take a while to blow a 20amp fuse if the stalk is faulty

ALSO! if i unplug the stalk completely the sides still work off turbo timer AND the 20amp fuse still goes when pluggin the ariel in!
