Clio 1.2 16v D4F Misfire on cylinder 1 and 4

Fault codes

P0500 vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction
and o2 Bank 1 Sensor 2


Any ideas ?

1&4 suggests the coilpack as those cylinders use the same half of the coil. Speed sensor fault might be simply that it doesn't have one, I've seen that before. The O2 sensor needs some live data looking at

tried a new coil pack just sat on the engine and it ran fine for a while reving like normal then bolted the new coil pack in and its now got the same problem wont rev above 4000 and has a misfire

any damage to the loom by the ECU plug? are the earths and the surpressor wires all attached and in good condition?

Just checked the loom and all earths, Every thing seems Alright.

Started up and played with the wires and still misfires / wont rev above 4000

I'll change the loom on Monday just to check that.

Using the same leads or have you got the coil pack with the HT leads attached?

Checked the spark plugs?

All in one with Ht's as part of the coil pack.

spark plugs have you checked? tappets are a issue but normally only low mile engines.

Yes, Did put a new set of plugs in.

Looked at it again today and we are now thinking blocked cat as we got it running Alright with out the cat on.

What was it ? mine has same problems and it dont fire one one cylinder and cat sounds blocked ?
