Clio 1.2 16v - problems, how to remove tb and inlet manifold

having a whole world of trouble with this car, getting the electrical fault code come up, read it and it says map sensor, however after some research i found that these problems are usaully associated with the metal anti tamper block covering the ecu, so i removed that and the wires had very small amount of damage but were fine, and it was still giving the light, the carbon canister clicking alot of the time so i changed that to a known good one i had, but it still does it.

Next i decided to remove the air filter and spray some carb cleaner in there, but i accidently squirted 'gunk engine de-greaser' in there, the cans look the same, now after this the light went out, but the car wouldn't idle, however it drove ok.
The mrs has just got in from driving it and says it now wont move for a couple of seconds when you put your foot down then it will jerk and go, she aslo reported VERY BAD mpg.

So now after reading up again i'm left thinking i need to pull off the inlet manifold and Tb and give them a clean, is this relatively easy? can i do it by squirting actually carb cleaner in where the air filter goes?

Oh and when i take it all off, what do i need to order to get it all back on? just an inlet manifold gasket? or is there other bits?
