Clio 1.2 clutch change

Hey folks

Just bought a 1.2 Clio. Wanted a 172 but really not practical at the mo with its mpg.

It's a 2002 dynamique with 64k on it. Not mint but in good nick. Got it for £900 but needs a clutch. Still drivable and can do 70 mph but slips if your aggressive with the gas.

Ive done most things on cars but not a clutch.

So can anyone do a quick step by step on how to do it for me? Or give me a link to a website with info?

Shouldnt be to difficult as the 'box is quite small and there's loads of room

Thanks
Greg

Going to buy a clutch kit for it. Can get a Valeo one from ECP for £79 so quite cheap.

Do I need fluids? Gearbox oil? If so how much does it hold?

Cheers

Right got my new clutch. It's a Sachs one and I'll be fitting it tonight. Got talked through the procedure with a Renault tech so should be ok probably a bit fidily.

My new clutch kit comes with cover plate, friction disc and release bearing, but the friction dis does not have the little springs in the middle. Is this normal and ok to fit?

I managed to fit a clutch in my old 1.2 with next to no mechanical experience.
Was very proud of myself lol.
Someone did send me a written guide but I don't know where its gone! I did take loadsa pictures so might make a guide of how I did it one day, if I get round to it.
Can't comment on the clutch I bought a Valeo one.

Clutch all fitted now. And all without dropping the subframe :)

It was the wrong kit as well. Managed to get a full Valeo kit for £66! Bargain
