The best way is to buy coilovers.... if you lower it on springs, you'll only want it lower in a few months.

Rokkor coilovers are only £160 and very good for the money.

the car is only worth about 600, besides im saving for a 182, jus want a cheap mod cos it looks too high on these 172 rims.

yeh you dont seem to understand how much little difference there is. if you're changing leave it and save even more?

money has no value in thinking when modifying ;)

dont really want to get coilys as im gonna get rid of this 1.2 soon and probably get a 1.6 ph2 model, so i jus want to drop it for the time being not sure wether to go for 40 or 60mm tho, heres a pic! (ignore the damage)

Do you live in Australia?

I wouldn't go lower than 40mm on standard shocks....
BUT, if you're getting rid of it, I wouldn't bother at all.

Are you buying a 1.6 or a 182?

i actually have no idea why that is upside down :s
i dno yet i got 6 points on license so if insurance is cheap then 182
if not then 1.6..im plannin to keep it for the nxt 6 months thn its gone!
bu i want to mke it look a bit better!

If you've got 6 points then insurance on a 182 will be ridiculous, really really ridiculous. How old are you?
I'd honestly say there's little point in you getting a 1.6 tbh. Not enough of a step up IMO.

cmon guys, all i wanted to know is what springs will be better, i just want the arches to sit on top of the wheel nicely, dont want it slammed cos there alot of speed bumps in my area

Uploaded with ImageShack.us heres a uk standard pic!!!

  a low one
i remember when mine was that high on those wheels!

60mm is seriously needed out of springs, but they wont sit your arches on the wheels atall, or even close.

get coilies and then if you get a 1.6 put them on that too?
