clio 1.2 superchip

Car  renault clio (black 3dr)
has anyone or do you know anyone who has chipped a clio 1.2 8valve yet just wanting to know the procedure and wether its worth it
also do you think its worth gettting a second hand chip or just a brnd new one cheers scotty

Make a slow (I have one) 1.2 slightly less slow for lots of money... whats the point?

Save your money up for the next car :D

for my 1.2 16v, superchips quoted upto 5bhp gain on peak power, and a 5% increase in torque. almost certainly taking a sh!te would save you enough weight to get the same performance gain, and at 295 its not cheap

If you want to start modding your 1.2 best to do breathing/exhuast mods first. Im up about 11bhp on mine from those mods on mine :D

I got a chip and remap from hillpower for my 1.2 and had a 6 bhp gain and quite a lot of torque gained. You do feel a difference! Im up to 78 bhp now and really cant be bothered to go any higher on just a 1.2!

i wouldnt bother, unless you go for a full remap after youve done breathing mods and some engine work.

with decent breathing mods mine is noticeably quicker than it was standard (plus a mega loose engine, 121,000 miles) i would guess about 80bhp for mine-roughly and this is with the standard exhaust with cat still!
