Renault Clio 1.4 S (2000)
Hi all,
I was hoping someone might be able to help me with a problem I'm having on my Clio 1.4 S (2000)...
For a while now I've noticed a small 'dip' in power whilst accelerating. This doesn't happen all the time, and can't quite put my finger on when it does it (ie, hot, cold etc). The dip is as if something's not quite getting through, and then does, and the power's back.
I've had the electrics checked out by a garage, and they said nothing's wrong in that area.
I've also double checked my air filter etc, and replaced it with a K&N induction kit, to see if that helps, but it doesn't.
Now I was speaking to my uncle, who had the same problem an age ago, with his first car - Ford Fiesta. He spent a lot on trying to find the problem, and in the end found it was some kind of sensor which was dirty - once cleaned, the dip had dissappeared. Unfortunately I forget what the name of the sensor was.
Has anyone experienced this kind of problem, and if so, or if you're aware of the sensor in question, do you have any instructions on where to find it, and how to clean it?
Many thanks in advance.
Oli
