Clio 16v central locking

iv got a clio 16v and the central locking wont work iv replaced the key fob and unit in the roof, but still nothing. the button in the centre console works so its just the key and sensor thats not working. the battery in the key is new.

its weird that my central locking has just packed up.My light on the key fob works,so does the c/l in the car.

I have just bought a new sensor for the immobiliser which cost me £350,plus then i had to get a new key fob which was £140.so there is no way if im getting a new sensor.

Where is the unit in the roof and how much was it,is it the same as the 172?

The unit in the roof is located directly behind the interior lights on the roof, blackyred coloured piece of plastic, just pull it out towards you. it usually comes out very easy.
