CLIO 16V OR A 19 OR A WILLY GEAR BOX

WHICH IS THE BEST GEAR BOX TO PUT INTO MY CLIO 16V?

JC5 boxes are the best... gearration is at bit higher, but they can take the punishment!

Willy (JC5) box is the stronger but 5th gear has a higher ratio. Given that the 16v doesnt have as much torque as a willy this MIGHT mean that once you hit 5th your acceleration will be very poor (in comparision to a std 16v).

All depends really - if your going for more power (i.e seriously more like TBs/Turbo etc) then get the willy box, otherwise theres not much point (IMO).

Yeah, the Willys 5th cog is very tall. I can barely get a ton out of 4th, so to take the car right to the book figure of 134mph, it must be a REALLY tall 5th cog!
