Clio 172/182 with 422 cams

Hi guys I'm running 422 cat cams in my
Race car engine
Had a full rebuild with forge internals etc
They have vvt
Am I better using Aug 2 or vtec on my
Onex 600??
Hearing different opinions

Run it on an aux output and use shift light to control it.

How does the shift light do it ?
Turns off at certain rpm I guess

Yeh you can control the trigger values of the shift light.
