Clio 172 Aftermarket steering rack?

My old 172 needs a steering rack. I've been quoted over £700 by the garage, with my only other option supplying the part myself and them fitting it.
I have no idea about this as never needed one before. Is it worth asking a scrapyard or should I go with OE?

If I buy a brand new part myself then likely I'll be the same money as quoted I believe. I kinda need it sorted soon as car is due for mot as well 😩

Get a used one from a breaker.

They can't be that expensive.

Labour will cost the most as the subframe will need dropping to fit.

I just looked on ebay and it's slim pickings, there's always Renparts.
