Clio 172 Cup

Hi everybody I am hoping to buy a Clio 172Cup and need a easy way to identify it is a cup car, can anybody point me to the correct forum or help in any way, I am viewing the car tomorrow

Weren’t all 172 cup cars only sold in that one shade of blue????

When you go to view the car, look at the V5 as it should say it’s a cup on there.

Or make a note of the VIN number and phone Renault as they will be able to confirm.

Also check the paint code is it will either be Mondial Blue or iceberg silver if it’s a 172 cup.

While you can modify a standard 172 to cup spec, most wouldn’t have bothered so if the car has a basic grey cloth interior (rather than the half leather, half suede one), no abs, multi spoke Speedline Turini wheels, halogen headlights rather than xenons etc. it’s probably a cup.

There is a guide for each of the models somewhere but I'm buggered if I can find it now...

It won`t have air con & the aux belt is manually adjusted by the alternator.
No ABS and has a brake bias valve on the rear axle.

I have only just seen this. The journey home was a bit hot, no problems with the car.
