clio 172 has lost about 80bhp!!!

  clio sport 172
basicly my clio 172 has lost about 80bhp my friend has a saxo 1.6 vtr around 98bhp and i cannot even go past him?!!?!? :( i have been told its the coil pack also front and rear lamda sensors come up when it was plugged in so can the coil pack and lambda sensors cause it to loose this much power? its realy irritating and very head scratching! problems are below THANKS!

car holds back
exhaust goes puf puf puf insted of vrrrrr lol
engine a bit noisy
STOP light and handbreak light flickers when i boot it

  Arctic Blue FF 182
puf puf puf instead of vrrrrr.lol

Potentially sounds like a miss-fire, which has a high chance of being a coil pack

stop and handbrake usually while cornering is worn discs and pads usually.

missfire which has most likely destroyed the cat and lambda causing your fault code.

your car is probably got something wrong with it but you cant just say its lost 80bhp just because it cant get past a 98bhp saxo, its not that simple you got to think about power to weight ratio, power deliver, drivers ability etc etc etc.

I run my Aircon all the time including on track. It doesn't make much difference to power output and it keeps the car fresh. Saying that turning it off makes massive power gains is totally false.

  Inferno 182 & Saxo
Some 8v saxos would out run a 182 mods depending. If its standard though I'd go get your car checked at a specialist on here.
One to check is that the cat hasnt failed internally and is restricting the engines breathing

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
Sounds like an ignition fault. The lambda fault is probably a red herring thrown up by the ignition fault leaving a lot of unburnt fuel.

Can't really say more than that without plugging in and trying a few things
