Clio 172 issue

Hi guys i just joined the clio forum, and already got a query if anyone has been through this... the central locking switch is not working anybody know what could be the problem?? before me buying another mechanism can anybody let me know what else i can check??

When I bought my car the mechanism was not working I was having to use the key manually. It was a very easy fix for me With a can of WD40 with the red straw attached, a good squirt in the locks and I have had no problems since.
