Astra GSI, 172, Golf
Had a misfire on the clio about 2 weeks ago. Knowing what these cars are like i went through all the usual protocol.. ie changed the coilpack, changed sparkplugs. It ran but still had a misfire, before i had chance to check the injectors over it stopped starting.
Upon turning the key the immobilizer light stops flashing and stays solid red. Following this as expected the car cranks over but cuts out after 3 seconds.
I have had all the engine bay relays tested all returned fine.
all fuses checked and seem to be fine.
im going to do a continuity test on the white and purple twisted wires. which will hopefully bring up a split wire which i can then repair.
If this then fails can anyone offer any suggestions..
I do have a spare loom 2 keys, uch,and remapped ecu. But to prevent further problems i would rather avoid removing major electrics as i know how temperamental these can be.
