hi all just bought a 172 does anybody no of a decent cat back system for it also engine seems to be hunting on tick over any help would be great thanks

Have a look on k tecs website mate they pretty much have everything you will ever need 4 a renault! Lumpy idle is common place on a sport aswell bud, were all in the same boat + welcome 2 cliosport mate, expect a few laughs

Make sure the car doesn't have Bosch plugs fitted.

sorted an exhaust got a scorpion cat bk sounds pretty good but now been told the defaser is on its way big job i think how much would i be looking at ?

+1 - took a bit of getting used to but i like it

Bosch plugs are poo & according to others on here NGK are the only ones to use.

Dephaser needs to be done at the same time as the cambelt - might aswell get them all done at once

bigger than just leaving the poor thing alone, yes.

The 172 engine is naturally lumpy on idle, an exhaust will make it sound just as broken, only louder.

But if that's what you like
