clio 182 boot lock problems

Hi guys

I need your help with my boot lock it was working fine and now it has decided to stop just as I had a trolley full of shopping

The problem is the button seems to be jammed which I can't push in... Question is how do I open the boot? and what do u guys think maybe wrong with it? Ie what parts will I require

The mechanisms probably given up and need replacing, we've all had it at one point or another,
you'll have to climb in the back, unscrew the plastic cover, then physically pull the lever to open it.

The boot mechanism is about £30 from Renault, quite simple to replace yourself,
the whole thing's only held in by a few bolts.
