Clio 182 colours

  VW Potato

sorry if this another donkey Scud question, but is the 182 available in any shades of red? (which, as all smart peeps know, is the best colour in the world ever for a 172/182 ;) )

theyre the 4 new ADDITIONAL colours arent they? meaning that the normal blue, black, red and common garden silverare still available.

Due to its chemical compostion and atomic weight, its a little known fact that Blue is infact the quickest colour. 182s may also benifit from this blantant garble i have just invented....

Everyone knows silver ones are quicker. Because blue ones look like 1.2s, Renault fitted them with the 1.2 8v engine. Well known fact that ;)

the four launch colours are all new and are the Titanium (Clio Mk1 Silver I believe), Artic Blue (which is a lighter shade of the Mondial blue on the cup), Black gold (which is metallic black with a gold tint rather than the usual silver tint) and Racing Blue (Which is a solid blue and is the colour I have gone for as it seems to be the most original). There is going to be no red, the picture from above was just a 172 with the twin exhausts but there will be an Orange colour seen on the Megane 225 which is going to be released after a few months which I think will look stunning.

Then there is the renault personalisation programme which runs in Europe (and was available on the 172) and there will be the Yellow Paint and a Green I think which will cost around £1000-1500 extra!

Yellow is not an option in the UK

deffo? I read a review in my local paper last week that said it was a (Very expensive £1000) option.

That yellow one looks excellent shame they dont do it over here.

Is it just my mind or does the back of that 182 look quite low and front not much different than the 172. The 182 is supposed to be 20mm lower

Errr

The option will be on the 182 in the uk this year some time, may ish.

PS NE

however, the option on the V6 is quite a different yellow - the "yellow" which will be or is (not sure!) available for the V6 is similar to the mustardy/sh1tty/goldie/brownie/mud colour on the M3 !!! As you can see I am not a fan of either !!! :D

I would think Jas knows due to his high contact within Renault UK!

That would be the same reno UK whos dealers dont know that you cant order 172s then lol

YELLOW IS A FREE OPTION ACCORDING TO THE CONFIGURATOR ON RENAULT.CO.UK, just checked now.......

The yellow colour is called JAUNE SIRIUS and looks gooooooooooooood ! It looks like the same colour yellow anyway ? Correct me if I am wrong :

Also comes in VERT ORION :

...and as you can see below, the 182 in RACING BLUE is still the same price ? £14,813 with Electric Sunroof option.

Actually, looking at it again it may not be the same yellow but it still looks very nice I think ! More golden than the promo photos maybe ? I dunno. Has to be the yellow anyway !

Also, does the 182 come with monochrome Sat Nav as standard with a colour screen as an option ?

Err the 182 isnt meant to be 20mm lower.

That would be good, may change my mind over the 182, the yellow just looks so RIGHT ! In the configurator it definitely doesnt alter the price.

The price on my screenshots does not include colour sat nav in the quote ? Could that be the difference ?

Also, not seen many import places selling 182s yet and those that are do not mention colours at present, be interesting to see what colours they offer and if you can have the cup suspension and spoiler packs too ?

Pre telephone equipment is not available if you opt for the cup spoiler pack, must be something to do with the rear spoiler. I suspect the sat nav cannot be fitted with the larger rear spoiler for the same reason.

Unless I have lost it, those two special colours were not on the renault.co.uk site a fortnight ago and they are not listed in the 2004 price list or offered by the dealer.

They were NOT on the site 2 weeks ago no. I phoned up a Renault dealer just now and they said that he didnt know about that colour, just the 4 base ones but he was going to find out for me.

They must be available as they are on the Renault site. Maybe they have just been introduced in to the range and so not all the salesman know about them yet ?

The Renault site is usless for infomation I once manged to get a dci clio with a 172 engine, sunroof, drum brakes, crusie control (before it was even out), and hydrolic stearing.

Every Renault dealership I have spoken to say the site is usless only way to get a definate answer is to ring Renaul UK or ask loads of dealerships.

Thanks for clearing that one up Jeremy.

I bet someone might kick up a right fuss about it. "Its on your website I demand you supply me a yellow car now, and at no extra cost" LOL
