Clio 182 Cruise Control

Guys, got my 182 yesterday, seems to be a problem with cruise control?

When you press the button, it doesnt seem to stay on... you have to hold it for it to work (bytton next to traction I mean)

is this a common problem or am i doing something wrong

Nope, the button should just click into position and stop there. Sound like the switch is shagged.

You'll hardly use it though...only really for empty m-ways/night time driving.

Yes...check the switch first

are you maintaining a steady speed when activating it? iirc mine clicks off when you try and activate is whilst acceleratingly

Is the switch staying in the on mode i.e in the up position ? I use mine all the time on the motorway . I leave the switch in the on position permanently and just reactivate it with the steering wheel control .

Are you getting the green light on the dash that says it's activated ?

the green light comes on when you press it, but as soon as you let go it goes off... i.e. the cruise control works when you keep your finger on the button, but when you let go it stops working...

My mates does this, any idea how much a new one is?
Can't 100% tell from the stupid picture in dialogys but they range from £25 to £50 and i've guessing its the £50 one as its a dual position switch and the logo could mean cruise control.

As I said before i'm pretty confident the switch is shot if it won't hold its position. Does it hold in the speed limiter position?
