Clio 182 Driveshaft

  Clio 182
Apologises if this has been covered before but is there any difference between a non cup and cup drivers side driveshaft apart from the width of the abs ring, and the part number?

phs 2 182 cup chassis

passenger 8200372167
driver 8200372166

phs 2 182 non cup

passenger 8200352043
driver 8200352042
There a different length, if it was just a case of the abs rings being wider on the cup then they could of just used the same on non cup.

The cup wheel bearing is 84od x 39id x 40width in mm, and the standard 182 is 72 x 37 x 37, so the CV`s are sized to fit.

I love this stuff.
Did you know that the spherical bearing on the lower end of a Yamaha DT125R rear shock, which is not serviced, is exactly the same as the one in a Kawasaki Z550 H2 rising rate unitrak link arm, which is.

Thank you. The reason I asked is that my garage replaced the driver side shaft on my 182 with Cup pack suspension, with a GKN item part number 304798 looking this up on the web it looks like a std 182 oe part number 8200352042. There is the ABS rumble when braking under 5mph but otherwise seems fine!

They should of played spot the difference when they fitted it?
