Clio 182 Rear Disks

  VW Caddy Van
Story is my work fixed 2 punctures one in each wheel at the bak of my 182. Informed me i need new pads. Bought new pads and went to fit them today to find they have threaded my locking wheel nut bolt and the hub! And the other 3 bolts are that tight i cannot move them.

I told them under no circumstances buzz gun on or off my wheels. Clearly they have on the passenger side and realised, shat it and torqued the drivers rear.

I plan on speaking to the service manager now and if i get nowhere claim them for the damage. I will be demanding a new hub as once u re tap the existing hole it loses strength.

But when they remove my rear disk will it need replaced or can it come off and go bak on without replacing it? Just so i know if/when it comes to claiming them.

It'll require a full set of locking wheel nuts and hub regardless

the wheel bolts onto the rear disc direct, ie the threads are part of the rear disc

£150ish for new rear discs

It'll not be me paying for them lol. If thats all that it needs then thats fair enough for my work. I woulda thought their was a hub and then the disks?

nope, you have a stub axle and the discs slot onto that and is secured with a large nut, the wheel then bolts to the disc

Nope Arnold Clark lol, never had this bother before tho as almost all my cars have had work done in their and it's easier.

So it will require new hub and disks then?
