clio 182 vs DCi

well we have a 182 clio the now. but doing so many miles now that i have done over 12000 in 3 months because work a good bit away from where i stay. but i think about going to a dci clio the now. as only an apprentice i could do with helping the bank balance a bit as well.
just wondering about what folk think?

I often think about doing this, due to mileage and bank balance etc, but then I thought it would have to be the dci 100, of which there doesn't seem to be that many for sale. Plus when you look at the interior of a dci compared to a 182, it's not what I'm used to anymore! But most importantly, whenever I go out for a burn down some country roads, or open her up on a slip road, I remember why I bought a 182 in the first place!

The thought had crossed my mind when I looked at how much I've spent on petrol. However, I've made some simple alterations to the way I drive. These days I get 43mpg on my daily drive to work, up from 29, not to mention the money I'm saving on brakes and tyres. 12,000 miles is a lot though. What about a cheap banger to run around in and keep the 182?

Sound advice!! Keep the 182 and get either a Mk1 1.9 D banger, or a 306 DTurbo as a runabout. Don't bother cleaning it or taking care of it, just oil and filter change it every now and then, if you scratch, bump, kerb it who cares its just a runabout.

Both will eat however many motorway miles you throw at it aswell. Pure workhorses.

yeah thats true. no wanna get rid of 182 as its my wee baby and have to much fun in it. mite just get a cheap runaround

Personaly get a good diesel and sell the 182.
