Recently had a problem with the Clio where it won’t crank or anything. The ignition will come on and when u go to crank it all lights on dash go out tried a new starter motor and battery and still the same I have cleaned up the earth strap from chassis to gearbox but still no good. Any help is appreciated.

Crankshaft sensor?
Have a search on here. It's been a common problem for years were a car struggles to start.
There's an upgraded version that Renault released with an extra piece of wiring loom.
The link is just to show you what the part looks like. It looks like the loom is bought separate. You might be able to find both parts cheaper elsewhere.

A bit more info here. There's plenty if you search the forum.
If you get the new " blue" sensor you also need the new piece of loom.
You could try removing it and cleaning it with a bit of sandpaper on the end and see how you go.
