Clio 197/200 Oil Temp gauge.

I’m looking at installing an Oil temp Gauge In my Clio 197 to keep an eye on the oil temperatures.

Now the sandwich plate doesn’t have the facility to instal a temp sender as it’s already got the adaptor for the external oil cooler fitted to it. However I’m thinking to use an Oil sump temp sender adaptor M16 1.5mm to fit the sender into that and then run the cable to the gauge into the car using one of those vent adaptors.

Has anyone done this before ? If so what gauge is the best ?

I have the digital Spa Design Signature Series.

7 colour backlight to chose from with hue adjustment, so there's pretty much any colour and shade you want.

Flashing alarms for pressure and temperature, also in a colour of your choice.

Not cheap at £210 though.

Sorry should have said, this is on a 182 so I use a sandwich plate with the sensors in.

You could use one as well, it's fine to double stack the OEM with another.

I’ve already got an oil cooler running on that sandwich plate so that’s a no go. I think it will have to be a sump adaptor for it. I’ve seen a nice analog gauge one done by them.

Mine is a Mocal one, can get it from a lot of places. Just happened to get mine from Merlin Motorsport.

no mate, just a random one to show such a thing exists.
best bet would be to look at the stuff from the same manufacturer you have now.

It extends the thread which the oil filter screws on to. It also holds the sandwich plate on when the filter is removed.
