Clio 197 won't turn over

Clio 197 2009 wont turnover on push start
Tried jump starting still wouldn't turner over
First looked if starter motor worked by connecting up to the battery done the same to solenoid and that worked too
Works fine looked for any fuse that may have gone couldn't find any then tried resetting
The ecu and still won't start

Have you tried it with your card in the slot assuming it's a keyless one.

So the starting motor makes no noise when pressing the button with the key card in the slot?

There's a click witch sounds like solenoid moving with key in slot and does nothing

Steering lock solonoid?

If its not even starting then sounds immobiliser related. Have you got a spare key to try first

Thing is, with the 197 they usually display something on the dash like "steering not locked" or "card not detected.". Is there nothing like that showing?

Immobilizer light staying constantly lit means a communication error between ECU and UCH. The key is accepted and authorized as the immo light is not blibking at 4 Hz frequency. There is a data link problem. My bets are on a UCH fault or a broken/stripped wire. From the UCH there is one twisted pair of wires. Those two carry the CAN bus data traffic between the UCH and the ECU. Start by checking out those two bad boys. Also check that same s**t at the ECU end of the wiring loom.

Any other faults present also? Windscreen wipers working? Indicators working? Remote locking working? Electric windows working?
