Clio 2 1.6 16v (2002) - Throttle Body Pipe

  Clio 1.6 16v
Hi, I cleaned my throttle body over the weekend. Doing this I changed the o-ring seals ont the throttle body and the pipe that runs into the top of the throttle body. Unfortunately, one of the fork pieces on the end of the pipe (to clip it into the throttle body) broke off. I haven't used the car yet, but wondered if the pipe will still seal sufficiently (there are still three of the fork pieces left. I did start up the car and when initially touching the throttle, the engine sounds like it has an induction kit on it (it hasn't, its standard) so it sounds to me as if its drawing in air from somewhere else. As its an electronic throttle, I can't put my head under the bonnet and pull the throttle cable to see where the air is being drawn from.

What does this pipe do, and what does it connect to ?

Cheers
