Clio 2 1.6 16v Fuel Filter confusion

Hi,

this is my first thread.

I have purchased a fuel filter for my clio, however, I am getting conflicting information on the location of the filter. I have bought an in line filter, but most people suggest that the filter is in the tank and is not an inline filter.

can anyone confirm whether the 1.6 16v 2002 plate has an inline filter and if so, where it is. Renault sell a genuine inline fuel filter so it doesn't make sense to me that the car has a different type filter in the tank and no inline filter.

In the tank on UK models. No external filter on the Ph2s.
