Clio 200 2012 model - has been diagnosed with a fuel pump failure as won't start.

This is a common prob?

Whats the usual cost to fix?

Read a few threads on clio 197 net but wondering what you guys think

Wow didn't think they'd be that much! Ok Cheers. Its not for me anyway it's for my bro and he needs to order today as it's going to Oman.
I've seen the Walbro ones are only £110 - are these worth a go?

Get him to start it while someone hits the x on the bottom of the fuel tank. Apparently sometimes they get blocked and hitting them can loosen the s**t

Part number 82 00 685 651
Unit price excl. VAT 174.12 GBP
Unite price (with VAT) 208.94 GBP
Looks very easy to swap yourself.

Do 200s have the wider hole under the real seats?

Apparently it's a tank out job on 197s!

Yeah I suggested that to him - he's thinking to order it just in case tho as if it does come back then it's a longer wait (his colleague is flying out Sunday so he can get it quicker if delivered to UK then brought over)

If the tank is the same as a 1*2, make sure it's not full to the brim. They can deform around the ring that holds the pump in place if they're not empty.
All tips useful as the garages in Oman are definitely not specialist!!

  dan's cast offs.
chances are you'll be able to swap just the pump itself, rough guess on price around £30.

Common on the mk3, mine cut out whilst driving Had to be towed back by the old man in his defender

Tank off, so that's cutting the exhaust too (if standard) unless you drop the rear beam
