Clio 200 Monitor

Has anybody played with, or got pics / vids of the new Renaultsport monitor on the Clio 200?

I've specced it on my car after seeing vids on youtube of the Megane version, but I've since heard rumours that the Clio system is different.

Any help / tips would be great!

As far as I'm aware the only diffrence it doesn't offer switchable preset maps the 250s does

Well as the Clio is N/A i cant see there being switchable maps tbh? Can be done on Turbo's easily as it'll tweek the boost.

It is quite possible to have switchable maps on a N/A engine. Still loads of variables to tweak.

Switchable maps on a NA engine is a waste of time. Only want sqitchable maps on a boosted engine to vary the boost etc tbh.

The megane's mapping doesn't alter boost as far as I know. As I understand it, it sharpens up throttle response

erm i would love to say no lol

the clio was just more fun but the megane is so much quicker and uses less fuel and is comfier, but god the clio was fun!!!

just the way it changed direction is actually amazing. i just keep watching youtube videos of 200s and makes me want one again, would LOVE a storm grey one with a black roof, dark red rear roll cage, dark red speedlines and carpeted rear floor, mini r26r lol

should of kept it mate. i drove my mates r26 the other day and liked the turbo low down but not much else. to 100 it didnt seem any quicker to me. the clio is so much more fun tho, it didnt sway me to change at all.

The clios version of the monitor has the only (what i would class as useful) function removed compared with what the Megane offers. Its basically a display for geeky details about the car such as Gforce and Laptimes. I honestly dont see how it can justify the £160 (£400 in total) price tag in its watered down state.

just wondering what kind of g's the 200 can get according to the moitor??? i seen the vbh 5th gear review on the rs250 and she gets it of the scale 1g+ i am guessing the clio will as well?

I think in a copy of evo last year it was just a little under the Meg on the G reading.

i was thinking it would be a bit better due to the way it clings to the FRS onn the autocar test...

There is a picture flying about on the forum with someone getting close to 1.4G lateral. It was done on track using R888s or similar tyre.

I've seen peaks of 1.6G on my 200 around a track with my GPS data logger. Over 1G was common. Mind you, high Gs don't necessarily equal speed, the speed coming from an optimal cornering line. Something I've yet to master

Only used mine up to now to watch Oil Temps before giving it a tickle... Doesn't help it's only done 575 miles too, yet to be run in annoyingly!
