clio 200 paintwork..

well had issues from day 1 with my albi 200 so wont go over old ground, what i am currently finding is that paint is marking very easy, starting to wonder if they actually put any laquer on my car, anyone else finding their paint marking easy? had no issues with my artic 182 or ultra red 197 but this one f**k! Car is 10 months old, just hit 3k mark and wondering what it will look like in a years time at this rate!

Maybe all the guys at the Renault factory couldn't look at it long enough to finish the job?

Renault paintjobs have been pritty poor recently, ive been noticeing it alot on new cars going through the workshop, mainly on clios, worst parts are the bumpers mainly

Not noticed it being any poorer than the paint on my other Clios, which were equally as sh*t as far as finished is concerned.

Good when you're a painter though, the fact it's so soft makes it a piece of piss to prep.

Yup, the usual story, the Germans generally do quality better than the rest of the world. You'll still get orange peel whatever you buy but it won't mark as easily.

BMW do a scratch resistant lacquer (as an option AFAIK) that is an absolute cnut to work on. You need special sanding discs to get through it.
