Clio 4 speed Gearbox

What do you make of them, it's a 1.2 Oasis RL. Lovely condition with just under 60k on the clock.
I was wondering I'm currently driving a 5 speed Clio (Well half of one if you've been following my crash thread)
I was wondering does only having four gears hamper speed/mpg at all?
Im guessing and hoping the gear ratio has been altered to allow for basically the same mpg as the 5 speed?

erm less mpg i think, and noisier top end:S

The ratios are often a bit shoter and a mid range so your top gear in a 4 speed is just between the 4th and 5th gear in a 5 speed box. A 5 speed box will get better acceletaion and mpg but its only small and you won't usually notice it.

The oasis has 5 gears, it was a special edition with 5 doors, sunroof and 5 speed box

nope lunner your wrong, oasis came in all sorts, my 1.2 is an oasis 3 door, the 1.2 i had beforwe was an oasis 3 door 4gear
