Hi guys, my first post so Hello!!
Im posting on behalf of my workmate. He owns a 2000 "W" plate Clio Alize 1.4. He came to work this morning saying his car sounds very rough, i had a look at it and it seems his exhaust is blowing. He took it to an exhaust place on his dinner break and theyve told him he needs a new centre section and backbox.
He's been quoted £120. I cant see anything wrong with the backbox. We took another look under the car and its quite clear where the crack/rust is in the centre pipe. it appears to be just after the cat. (im assuming the cat is the 2nd box from the manifold closest to the centre of the car and not the 1st box after the manifold which i assume is a silencer?)
Does £120 sound like a good price?
