clio at 18

im seriously thinking about a 172 (or possibly a 182) for my next car but im only 18 and was just wondering if anyone on here has a clio sport at 18 and what the insurance is like? ive had a few quotes and its looking pretty high but just love the cars.

mine was £2000 and that was for a 1.2 dynamique. so goes to show how much difference a post code makes.

Not a clio but i have a cooper S (group 15) and im 19. Paying just under 2k with 1 year ncb.

I was quoted 3200 and i am 19 with 2 years ncb. Did get cheaper qoutes but wouldnt give me legal cover as sed before get a smaller engined car and build up your no claims imo m8y

im 19 and pay 1950, ring adrian flux and tell them u been quoted cheep, then when they say they cant match it, get them to knock 75 quid off what they quote you, and then u will have the best possible price.

I managed to get my cup at 18, cost me £1650 on my parents insurance

ive currently got a fiesta zetec s as my first car and the insurance is pretty steep on that (£1900 tp) but mum pays it for me (get in! haha) so i thought if she is willing to pay that much towards it the i could give her the money to make it up, but she is yet to agree haha
but its w@nk coz i only passed in september so im yet to get any ncb

I would just wait then until you have 1 ncb Should be abit cheaper for you then i imagine.

Get it in your own name from the off and you will be laughin at the price in a few years!

17 £2500 - 3rd party - 0ncb
18 £1200 - fully comp - 1yrs ncb
19 £800 - fully comp -2yrs ncb

GSI southern ltd.. mine was £710 tpft for a ph1 172 at 19.. cheap as chips.. but as previously mentioned, postcodes mean alot, i live out in the sticks!

Around here in Manchester you get shafted by insurance, some of the better areas are in the 2nd to worst postcode band and the rest are in the worst postcode band.
