clio boot opening when i unlock the car (mk3 2009)

my boot pops opens when i double click to unlock the car
it does not open when i click it once just to open the drivers door.

also when i press the button to unlock the doors inside (button beside the hazard warning lights)

is this a common problem? i have heard about Renault having bad electrics but up until this point i have had 4years problem free driving

This might be a stupid question but do the MK3s not have a feature where you can open the boot using the key? I've no idea so don't shoot me! Just a suggestion.

yea it does have a button on the keys to open the boot but i am not touching it. it does it with both keys as well as the unlock button in the car.

Need a new boot release button. It has got water in it.

Agree with above, though it's worth seeing if you can clean the old one up with a bit of wet and dry paper.

For £9 it's not really worth it.
