Clio Braking

Hi guys, I need a little help with my Clio, Every time I'm braking, my brakes are making a horrible screeching sound, I thought it might of been a build up of brake dust so I took the wheels off and used my hosepipe to water down the brakes and to see if that helped. Anyway it didn't I don't know what else to do apart from take it to the garage but before I do,Ii was hoping to get some answers of here. Regards Littlejohnboyracer

Whats the life left in the pads? And what do the discs look like? and dont say silver and round lol.

Water won't help

They need stripping down, attacking with a wire brush and cleaned with brake cleaner

Well ive got the car on finance so got it from a main dealership so cant see them having crap pads on them, the cars got 60k and the discs are fine

The pads probably need a smear of copper grease on the edges and the calipers may need cleaning to get rid of the screeching. Or it could be the type of pad needs changing. I've got Ferodo DS2500 pads all round and they never screech.
