clio buying

Alright people im new to your forum, and am hopefully going to be new to be part of the clio world soon, but i need some advice on buying a valver. But having owned a 205 rallye for the past few years i know nothing about them, is there anything major to check on the car or its just general stuff? what are the engines like at high miles, i have seen loads around with over 100k on them? plus does anyone have any good/bad points about them. Im just basically trying to get to know as much as poss about the car before i buy so i dont get a dog. Any help much appreciated.

just look at the rear arches for bubbling rust, check for and crap accident repairs, high mialage shouldnt be a problem, but check gearbox, clutch for wear and tear and also steering rack, as these are all lengthy expensive jobs, check if it has service history and the all important cam belt change! tappets may be a little noisy on start up, but should go quiet after a min or 2. also check all the dash lights/ oil guages are working as they can be a pain to get too. cant think of anything else at the mo.
