Clio CD Changer *help*

There seem to be 2 versions out there of the Clio CD Changer?

1) Alpine (Renault branded) changer - black in colour

2) VDO silver coloured changer


Do they both work with the Clio HU, why the difference?

What HU's do they work with All 2001+ cars?

Any info on this much appreciated!

Im no expert but Im sure the alpine ones are fitted in the factory and the vdo ones fitted as extra by dealors. They both should work with any clio tape or cd player that has tuner list on it (buttons with 1-6). Mostly fitted from 1999 onwards.

As the Renault accessory book shows the VDO unit (more expensive then the alpine) !

Anyone know also what the difference between HU's are?

The normal Tuner List ones

and some have Cabasse Logo on the top left?
