First off dont call me a n00b for this lol, but luke wanted me to have some reasurance before i comit on doing the conversion..
As i have a 1.2 iv been wanting a sport for a while, but since i have to keep the clio for another 2years may aswell do this. & just to clarify i wont be doing it on my own, as Luke has said he will come up to help me, which i cant thank enough
so, as my previous thread regarding if parts from a 1.2 will fit, i was told by many who have allready done the conversion that part will fit, which i was well chuffed about :approve:
since il be startin the conversion on my own mainly stripping the front end etc, which i wont have any problems as iv removed wing's etc before, and luke mainly helpin with the loom removing engine etc, we just are unsure on what were going to come across that might make our work come to a halt..
so is there any tools we will need?
i do have a few tools for the od jobs, but il be gettin some new spanner sets and sockets ratches etc..
What about the Brake Reservoir pot? will i need to move it?
its currently on the left hand side on a 1.2, but on the sport its up beside the water bottle,
Body loom ?
Now this is were me and luke are like :dead: as iv seen on ditz project thread he had to re-wire mostly his inside, which thats a job me and luke arnt partically happy with as were both useless on that part,
But on Fred's dynacup hes done exactly what im about to be doing, yet not sure about his loom,
can anyone clarify this if i have to have a 172 body loom ?
1 more thing..
since my local Renault is 45miles away, cant get it towed there to get the key coded, is it worth De-imobilising the ECU ? so when i do turn key it will turn and fire ?
Anything else we may come across, can you please post it down
