Clio Cup racing cars

Hello,

Please excuse my novice question. I am interested in purchasing a used Clio Cup racing car that has a racing history, not a street registered Cup. I would be using it for track days in the USA. I am looking for a car which is all original and preferably has the original graphics, etc. Are these available? Who should I contact? How much do they go for? I understand racing cars may have suffered previous damage, etc. It must be a racing car with a real racing history, not a street car.

No idea what one would cost, fully kitted out.

I was under the understanding that these could be purchased new if required. Obvioulsy no racing history but no accidents either. Think they come in white, I know palmersport have bought quite a few.

Around € 25000, of course with sequential box, cage, etc complete raceready even with your name on it and stickering.

I saw one for sale at snetterton for £15000 only 1 seanson old (was the POD sponsored car blue and green)

Thanks for all the info so far. I am looking for a used one with a racing history (maybe 1-2 years old max) and "all the stickers" - not a brand new one. I figure with all the Raceclios floating around some official teams might be looking to upgrade. It has to be an official car, not something built up from a street car.

They dont seem to have that much of a power or weight advantage so how can they be that fast? Is it down to gearing?

Apparently its got a 0-60 of 4.1secs too !

No they are NOT road legal (at least here in Holland) they come in white with one set of Michelin S9B tyres on it. € 25 K is exc. VAT (which you can get back if you export the car to where-ever)

And 0-60 in 4.1 secs. I dont think so I guess around 5.5

£3500, Its an old shape Clio cup though

I would imagine that there will be quite a few of them floating around at the end of NEXT year for about 6K when the series finishes - ready for when they start racing the Datsuns.
