Clio Cup Rev Limit

  bmw m3

I bought a clio cup at the wkend and on the test drive it seemed to me that the limiter is at around 6800rpm, is the correct? I used to have a VTS that went to 7500rpm so I think it could do with being slightly higher in the cup.

Does anyone know how much a superchip would raise this rev limit?

It takes a good 15 minutes for the oil to get up to full temperature. Then it will rev to around 7200rpm. The ECU limits you to 6.5k until its up to temp.

The temperature guage on the dash is water, and that rises very quickly.

Little Hp gains its mainly the increased mid range power and higher rev limiter.

Its not a Renault part Just the company is Called RSport or somehting and its nothign to do with the RSport garage down south.

It is a Renault part (cant order it from any dealer tho) "R Sport" are actually a official Renault dealer down in London I think.

the ecu uses an early rev limiter until coolant temp reaches 80c. you were just hitting that because the engine hadnt warmed up fully. will rev to almost 7500rpm once warmed up.
