Clio dash

I'm a bit unsure about the Clio dash's that are available. Ofcourse we all know the standard rim surround in most Clio's but I remember seeing a guy in a 182 in Warrington a while back who had the below dash. Since then I've not seen it on even any new 182's but do understand that it's available in the Clio Extreme 4 I think?

Would be grateful if someone can shed some light into this.

Ah though so!

I think it looks fab and would really want it in the 182 I'm getting in a few weeks. You don't know if you can get it from Renault parts do you?

Kool what spoiler did you get? I have the cup spoiler for my dynamique.

Plus do you know if that's the trip computer in the middle?

You'll probably have to modify one.
The dash is a complex bit of kit. That digital one isn't fitted to the 182's so the one you saw was either a fake 182 had a custom dash or a modified normal dash.

i got a dynamique spoiler.

yes thats the trip computer in the middle, and i cant see why you wouldnt get it from renault although u will get ripped off.

Nope you cannot have a look at that dash the 182 revs to 7.2k which is off the clocks potential you cannot just plug in that dash and go even the speedo isn't correctly calibrated (182 goes to 170mph).
If you want one you have two options as I see it.
1) Get one of those dashboards from a crashed etc car (there expensive new) then get a template for a 182 dials made up showing where there real speedo is take the dials to pieces and swop for a proper speedo readings. RPM you might be ok as this signal comes from the TDC/ECU so it will just output a 7.k signal. If you get an higher redline from a R-Sport ECu or remap then you might have trouble as that dash cannot show more than about 7.5k. Then swop the dashboads over.
2) Get two dashes a 172/182 dash and a new one and swop the 1.2 etc ligths and surrounds etc to the 182 or swop the 182 motors, electric internals, and speedo and rpm dails to the new style dash. Its a pain to do.

That new dash looks cool but wouldnt it take a lot of modifying as the trip computer and indicators are totally different?

hmm sounds like a t*at to do.

Maybe I'll just change the colour of the dash to blue? I take it this is quite simple?

The new dash has the same inputs its just how the dash interprits them the old dash uses the temp sensors electric outputs to run the electric motor which runs the dial the new one uses the outputs to decide how mnay lights to output. The same goes for the trip computer.
If you think about the old and new dash there little changed all the light are in about the same place just the trip is somwhere else showing the same stuff (ie they didn't change the electric just where the LED's are).
If you do want to chnage it I'd recomend getting a dash from j3ned etc and fiddling with it then swop the dasboards over when it looks the way you like. The milages is stored on the dash so you'd need to have it adjusted to read the true car milage.
