clio hunting on tickover

hi,havnt had my 03 reg 172 cup long and i noticed the other day when sat in traffic that it was hunting on tickover not excessivly just from 600-800 rpmish,soon as you lift the revs it dissapears,its not using any oil or water dosent overheat,there are no warning lights on ect and dosent affect the driving and not using excessive ammounts of petrol,am i been paranoid is it normal ? or is there a fault ? im new to renault so some suggestions would be appreciated many thanks gaz :rasp:

Don't worry, they all tickover badly, mine huffs and puffs, something to do with emissions and the cams.

thanks id sort of heard somthing along those lines just didnt know if it was true.

mine sounds crap on tickover too, quite tappety - but it doesnt burn any oil or anything so assuming its normal
