A man has been taken to hospital after his car ended up in a fast-flowing river in Staffordshire.
The emergency services were called to Oakamoor shortly after 4.00pm on Monday (24th September) where they found a man stuck in waist deep water in the River Churnet.
The car he was in became lodged in the sluice at the top of a weir behind The Cricketers Arms pub.
Firefighters used a small rubber boat to get to the man who was able to climb of out the car's sunroof to be taken to the river bank.
There he was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital for a check-up.
