Is there any signs when the battery is low or dead. ie flashing light or sound.

Went to open car and it did not open so had to use the blade key.

And to start car it told me to insert card.

Was in pocket under my phone, in work trousers.

My keyless entry etc doesnt work if the iPhone is in the same pocket.

That may be why you had to use the key to manually unlock, and then it asked for you to insert the card to start to clarify that you didnt break in
