Clio Mk1 Van 96 ( Best MPG )

Just wondering whats good ways to increase the MPG my clio does ???
Its a Mk1 96 1.9 Diesel

Don't mind if i'm loseing power but getting better MPG as long as the MPG is getting better

Please List every way of getting better MPG out of this

Make it lighter, stick to the speed limit, get into fifth gear at low mph, drive it like a granny basically.

erm well other than the obvious i.e. tire pressure, not ragging it etc maybe some redex to clean up the injectors etc as its an old engine

Would get less MPG For the water i would have to drink to Run with a clio miles after smiles

Also my legs running with a car would have a life span of half a mile diesel engine 200,000+
your idea has holes need more planning :-D

That's quite bad really, I get more than that from a run in a 1.2 petrol.

Is the 51 mpg with driving normally & the thing being standard ? Or with the things done we listed (as you said you've laready done some bits)

Also just to pee on your bonfire my dad often gets 45 mpg from his 172, with the climate on etc & that's not granny driving either.

thats when i got it when it was running on diesel not done a test yet with all the stuff done .

I would, but my bonfire doesn't need any more wee on it lol..

I don't no if cars get better MPG on veggie then diesel but guess that dont matter cuz of the price But still want to get it as low as poss :-D
