Clio MK3 rust

Walking to my car and noticed a new clio mk3, as i walked passed it noticed that the center caps on the alloys were rusting. Thought to myself typical Renault lol

Are the centre caps made of metal?

thought the centre caps were normally made of plastic? although would not surprise me in the slightest if they'd found a cheaper metal to make them out of lol

it was rusting on the key lock part and there was rust around the edges of the cap lol
