Canon eos 450d with the standard 18-55mm lens on TV mode, with a mixture of shutter speeds going up to 30 secs and the ISO set to 100.

if ya set the iso to the highest, about 1600 or somit, then the image becomes grainy, might be able to get some nice effects . . also have a play with the white balance. even tho your outside, setting it to a flourescent bulb setting for indoor use can change the outcome of the image. have a play on manual setting

Take something white (a sheet of A4, perhaps) with you and then stand under a streetlight where you're taking pics.

Set the white balance to a custom one using the white object.

Then take your pics - they should come out with a 'normal' colour rather than the streetlight colour as the camera will take the streetlight as white
