clio problems

just been for a drive tonight and my cars judering quite alot, my right rear tyre is very hot and quite o alot of dark exhaust was coming out when reversing
my mum thinks its something to do with my exhaust, possibly a hole.
do you have any ideas?

Well i would hazzard a guess it has an individual stick coil gone mate! would be causing a missfire / judder!

That would cause the smoke aswell.

Right rear tyre being hot is totally unrelated though!

Surely if you've been out driving both of the rear tyres would be hot? :S

Bad juddering would suggest coil packs/HT leads.

i thought both would be hot, but just back right
coil pack, is that an expensive fix, just been lookign around forum,
seems to be about 30.00?
what does the coil do, ie how would it make it judder
i like to know how things make other things go wrong etc :S

blown coil will def make the car judder and sound like a tractor, ive had 4 or 5 go but have always had them done under warranty, its such a common fault AA guys usually carry coils to fit the clio lol

lol. yeh it does sound pretty tractorish, little like a diesel, how much am i looking at to fix it?
is it more likely to be that than the exhaust?

took it in today
was the coil
and sparks needed replacing
also my exhaust bracket had snapped so needed replacing
and my drop pins needed doing as mien had snapped
and all 4 tyres and mine were screw
and the wiper blades
so i thought just get a service aswell as MOT is comign up soon
so hfad all oil changed filter changed
and he gave it a debug and dropped soem airfilter bomb or something into heating system to get rid off all the stale air
my tyres come tomorrow which is ok,
it has funyn wheels on it so he had to order them special delivery from somewhere inthe south
fair beast of a job in all
cost £400 after being discounted
and i get 20% my MOT and next 2 services
good deal or ripped off do you think?
