Clio RS mk1 steering wheel, what to do with it?

  Clio RS 172 '00
hello,

its known that the steering wheel from a 2000 RS is very bad quality, you rip pieces off like its cake:S

my steering wheel is in very bad condition so the question is.... what to do?

i have 4 options i think:

-New or used steering wheel clio RS 2000... with the chance its been prety fucked up again in a while....

-Clio RS 2001or higher mk2 wheel, like the looks more then the MK1 wheel but would it fitt?

-let someone make an new leather cover for it

-an Isotta stuurhoes special made for clio, about 80 euros but you have to fit it yourself?

so somebody does have any xperience with this question?

Ive seen the ph2 wheel fitted to a ph1 but I think there are issues wiring the airbag, your best bet is to fit the full leather wheel from the RSI/172 exclusive.

Has anyone found out how much a new wheel costs from Renault?

it melts if the sun catches it for any length of time, and the thumb grips peel off.

I preferred my worn out Ph1 wheel, although saying that my Ph2 wheel is still perfect after 27k.
