clio speaker size

I have just bought a brand new clio dynamic, im waiting for delivery, and was wondering what the speaker size, i thought i was 5" but the guy in my local car audio shop said he thought they were 6"

Ive just bought a pair of infinity kappa 6.5" comps, with a bit of work will i be able to make them fit into the standard spots if there 6"??



If not can i get cheap kick pods, ne one selling second hand ones??

STandard spots are 5.25". So its more than a bit of work u will have to make a custom door build. Or get the kick pods.

is it possible to buy collars to fit them into, or use some MDF to make a spacer??



What solutions do i have???

An MDF spacer ring will do the job. However you may find that the door card wont fit 100% flush. Some people have managed to get it to fit right.

the whole card or just the plastic cover over the speakers??

Just the corner of the door card where the speaker fits in. If you have some fairly shallow fit speakers then you will get away with it as you wont need a thick spacer.

To be honest even if it does stick out a little bit, you can t tell as it is the other side of where you can see.

Im guessing that was done by using the existing cover and then cutting into it and putting carpet over the top????? Just a guess???
